First board

When you open Stellar you land on a start screen of sessions grouped by project, not on an empty canvas.

When you open Stellar you do not land straight on a canvas: you land on a start screen with your sessions grouped by project. The idea is to resume work where you left off, not to decide everything again on every boot.

Resume instead of starting over

Each board is a session. The start screen shows when each one was last touched, marks the most recent, and lets you go back to it in one click. A project has N boards; each board has N cards and the connectors between them.

If it is your first time, start with a new, empty board. It is born with free pan/zoom on the canvas: drag the background to move, scroll to zoom, and bring in the cards the work asks for.

What a board is

The board is the unit of orchestration. It holds the cards (the live processes), the connectors between them and — when you start delegating — the tasks, the participations and the judgments. Closing a card does not erase the record; closing the board does not erase the task, which survives the card and the app restart.

The canvas camera (pan and zoom) is session-only. It does not persist across restarts, and that is deliberate: a view state that was not asked for should not come back on its own.

Next step

With a board open, the next piece of work is opening a card.
