Questions about these documents: contato@idyplatform.com

GPL-3.0-or-later

You may run Stellar for any purpose, study how it works, adapt it and redistribute copies, modified or not.

If you distribute a modified version, it must stay under the GPL, with the source code available to whoever receives it. The full text is in the repository’s LICENSE file.

Source code

The code is at github.com/Seth0s/Stellar. The releases published there are the source of truth for the packages; this site keeps no copy of any.

Contributions and CLA

To accept a contribution, the project asks for the Contributor License Agreement to be signed. It does not remove your copyright: you remain the owner of what you wrote.

The CLA grants the project the rights needed to keep the option of licensing Stellar under other terms in the future, including commercial ones.

Third-party components

Stellar is built on open-source libraries, each with its own license. The list below is the production-dependency inventory of the application (generated from the Stellar repository’s package.json on 2026-10-11; the versioned JSON lives at src/content/legal/stellar-production-licenses.json).

Trademark

The code license does not include the name “Stellar” or the logo. Forks and redistributions may use the code under the GPL, but must change the name and the logo — they may not present themselves as the official Stellar. Citing “based on Stellar” is allowed.

IN SHORT
✦Use, study, modify and redistribute.
✦Anyone distributing a modified version delivers the code under the same license.
✦Contributing requires signing the CLA — you remain the owner of what you wrote.
✦The name and logo follow a separate trademark policy.
The summary helps you read; the text beside it is what counts.
